Winging Our Way to Krakow
It’s a little cheesy, I know, but I just have to post the first selfie we took of us 4, when we met up at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam. Sonya became the “Selfie Queen”, and later on the trip (in Split) she actually bought a selfie stick, which were becoming all the rage.
We arrived at the old part of Krakow’s John Paul II Krakow-Balice Airport, which has a rather “Communist-era” feel. But the new terminal is next door and will open soon we’re told, if it hasn’t already. Our apartment had arranged a driver to pick us up—he was a young student, very happy to chat and tell us about Krakow, which was great.
There won’t be a blow-by-blow account of the whole trip, but this is significant as it’s the first of many things on this trip. First time in Poland for Nath and Sonya, and first time at this airport for Rod and I (last time we drove from Slovakia).
